Dashboards

A dashboard (a data view in the app) is a canvas of widgets on a 12-column grid. Each widget binds to one of the platform’s data engines: the same analytics, conversion, campaign and form numbers you see elsewhere, arranged the way you want and filtered to what you care about.

  1. Open Dashboards on your property and create one with a name.

  2. Add widgets from the catalog. Drag to arrange, resize from the corner. Changes autosave.

  3. Set the default period. Viewers can change it; the dashboard reopens with yours.

Metrics for tiles and graphs: sessions, views, views per session, time on site, scroll depth, bounce rate, cost and value. Breakdown dimensions: source, channel, referrer domain, entry page, exit page, country, city, browser, OS, device and language.

The five analytics widgets (Metric Tile, Trend Graph, Top Breakdown, Sessions Map, Pie Chart) read the whole property by default. Each can be narrowed to a scope: a set of query clauses in the same vocabulary as the sessions filter bar. A tile scoped to channel = paid_social and device = mobile is a KPI for that slice alone, and four tiles with four scopes put four audiences side by side.

Entity widgets (conversion, campaign, form) are already scoped by their entity. The live map ignores scopes.

A dashboard can be locked, which disables drag, resize and widget editing until it is unlocked. Use it once a view is finished so a stray drag on a tablet does not rearrange it.

Share generates a token and a public URL of the form https://app.snipform.io/d/<token>. Anyone with the link can view the dashboard: no account, no login. The token is the only credential, so treat the link like a password.

The public page shows the name, description, widgets, the property name and logo, and a period picker (custom date ranges are not offered). Widget data is served from the stored widget definitions only and cached for 60 seconds, so a shared view cannot be used to run arbitrary queries against the property.

Unshare revokes the token immediately. Sharing again issues a new token; old links stop working.

Set as property dashboard makes a dashboard the landing page of the property, replacing the default overview and the setup checklist. Toggle it again to go back. One dashboard per property can hold this role.

Widgets call the same engines as the rest of the product, so a number on a dashboard always matches the number on the page it came from: Signals for analytics widgets, the conversion engine for conversion widgets, short links for campaign widgets and forms for submissions.
